Die Sterne ✨ #Spilker immer mittendrin | #musicvideo

A new song by ✨ Die Sterne from the upcoming album 💿 “Hello Euphoria” (Release: 16.09.2022). They have such a nice wadded happy sound now. Sometimes it’s too happy for me, but here everything fits, I think. The 🎬 music video is a sweet nothing, staged rather less than the third last with a real touch, “Alles was ich will”, which comes up with teasing image montages. Here Frank Spilker strolls in purest form.

But to me, as documentary, this is always welcome. These are worlds that you walk through all the time in today’s cities, and they should endure in a few images (much less than their actual presence in your experience). Here it becomes a stoic personality show without glamour. The song lyrics pick up on it, but don’t miss the mark.

Will not make an attempt here to weigh that with the band history. My radically personal selection would include a quadruple of the first songs of the album 💭 “Von allen Gedanken schätze ich doch am meisten die interessanten” (1997): „Die interessanten“, „Ganz normaler Tag“, „Abstrakt“ und „Widerschein“ are four songs, beside of whom actually already begins the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame, right? “Kannst du dich nicht endlich entscheiden” and “1-2-3 Tier” from the same album also have something going on.

The not only digital fate of the band is sealed with ❌ “Was hat dich bloß so ruiniert?” This also pleases me, but runs internally under (only partial and musical) cover version of “House of the Rising Sun”, let’s call it homage otherwise. On Spotify, this is currently by far their biggest hit with 🖱 4.8 million clicks (twice as many as their #2).

So, there’s a lot more to discover in the stars.

In the German pop language history, the latest title could still be classified with “Wir verstaatlichen Simone” by Foyer des Arts. The refrain sees “Simone mittendrin, hey hey …”. But I notice, this example has no link at all in the current Internet.
